First prize will be $500, second prize $250 and third prize $100. The three winning entries will be published in Iris, the journal of the Classical Association. The three prize winners will be invited to receive their prizes at the annual Allen Memorial Lecture held in Ormond College, University of Melbourne. This lecture is held in memory of Barney Allen, who founded the Classical Association in 1912 along with others, and was its first secretary.
